Here’s what you’re shooting for

• 1st Prize: Rs 19,999
• 2nd Prize: Rs 16,000
• 3rd Prize: Rs 12,000
• 4th Prize: Rs 8,000
• 5th Prize: Rs 4,000

The above prizes will be cheques in Indian Rupees made out to the exact names that winning contestants have used in the contest entry form.

• Entries ranked 6 to 10 get: LiveJournal Paid Accounts for 12 months. These prizes are not transferable and cannot be encashed.
• Short-listed entries (the top 100, not including the top 10, covered above) may be published in a special edition Quick Tales book to be brought out by LiveJournal and Caferati.

Winners Announcements

A short list (the top 100 stories), and the eventual winners, will be announced in the India Writing Community on LiveJournal. All other important updates will also be announced exclusively in that community, so make sure that you’re a member and signed up for alerts.

LiveJournal and Caferati will contact the winners through their LiveJournal usernames to get their street addresses to which prizes will be couriered.

First to Fifth Prizes will be sent to the winners within 30 days of the announcement of results.

Sixth to Tenth Prizes will automatically take effect on the prize winners’ LiveJournal accounts within 7 days of the announcement of results.
